Ghosts & Echoes contest

Hi all,

So I'm a little bored and I want to play 'what ifs'. In this case, what if Sylvie got turned into a movie? Yep, it's the author dream-game of "who would they cast to play my characters?"

Your incentive to play along: I'm giving away three signed copies of Ghosts & Echoes for my favorite casting calls--the ones I think come closest to the character. You only need to send in one character suggestion for a chance to win. Paste 'em in the comments, so we can all admire. If by some wild circumstance, two people submit the same actor, I'll take the first posted.

Contest is open to all North American residents. (Sorry, the cost of sending mass markets abroad is kind of ridiculous. Twice as expensive as the book!)

If you haven't read the book yet, you can still play. Below are some character recaps. And if you haven't read Sins yet? There's a spoiler.

This contest will run from 17 June to 1 July. So two weeks to play.

Sylvie Lightner: Tall, brown-haired. Looks like the kind of girl who can take care of herself. Not beautiful, but maybe striking. Honestly, the cover artist (Shane Rebenschied http://blot.com/blog/) has done an awesome job with Sylvie.

Alexandra Figueroa-Smith. The perky side-kick. Tall, bleached blond. Tends to wear things like a hellokitty tank top and camo pants. Lots of bright eye makeup. Surprisingly sensible under all the fluff.

Adam Wright: a Chicago cop who's had it rough. A scruffy golden retriever of a guy with an infectious smile. And he should clean up well. (Those of you who've read Ghosts will know why he needs to be comfortable in expensive suits.)

Tierney Wales: a Texas scarecrow. The kind of guy who gets better looking with a second and third look. The kind of guy who can creep out his companions or bring out their nurturing side.

Zoe Lightner: Sylvie's teenage sister. Some of the same look as Sylvie but a little bit fashionista. Probably a CW type of girl.

Odalys Hargrove: Business suit wearing, strawberry blonde evil. Though I'm not fixated on blonde.

and even though they're not in this book--I can't resist.

Erinya, the Fury. All goth-punk on the outside and all monster underneath.

Kevin Dunne: the cop who married up. God of Justice. Older, a little worn around the edges.

Brandon Wolf: Bring the pretty, people. He's the god of love. In Sins, he's red-headed, but I figure, he's a god. He can look like anyone he wants to.
